The Nest Nursery Way

Your Child Is Naturally Curious

Whether your child is fascinated by the number of legs on a bug, or
creating a space ship using an old suitcase - curiosity drives their imagination.

A child can transform a stick into a gun, beads into gold and treasure, or a tea set into a
visit from her Majesty - The Queen.

Albert Einstein said: “Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution”.

That imagination starts with curiosity.

Our job in The Nest - is to FUEL and ignite that curiosity -
which we do EVERY day.

We embrace curiosity - in fact, we are so inspired by the possibilities - that we started an accreditation within the industry, showing Nursery Owners how they too can inspire curiosity within their children.

The Curiosity Approach™ is changing nurseries throughout the land,
but more importantly, it is changing the minds of our little people.

Every single man-made item you have, use, want or watch started originally as an idea
in the mind of someone - they saw the idea ... then they made it.

We agree with Einstein - imagination is SO MUCH more important than knowledge -
and curiosity is the driving force.

Our job is to light the flames, and curiosity is the tool
to excite these growing minds.

We are Lyndsey & Christian Hellyn -

Founders of The Nest Nursery

We founded The Nest Nursery in 2009. Lyndsey had worked as a primary school teacher for many years and had always dreamt of having her own setting and now we have four!

Our company is family-run and built on strong values. We all work hard in our settings to create homely, unique places where all children thrive. Our own children have been through our first setting so we understand how it feels and the concerns you may have when choosing your childcare.

We are exceptionally lucky to have a strong staff team lead by Danielle, Rebecca, Michaela, Eszter, Halleema & Liz.

So, have a good look around - you will notice our environments are different and that is based on many years of research by Lyndsey and the team, visiting early years settings across the world. We prepare our environments daily for the wonderful miracles that enter each day - those miracles are your children!
